Take a look at my recent series of work “The Density of Feeling”, a combination of oil painting, coloured pencils, bookmaking and gold leaf accents throughout. This body of work explores how emotion is held within the body and recalled through making. I use abstraction, gesture, and fragmented figuration to investigate experiences that resist clear language. Through layers of mark-making and erasure, the works become spaces where feeling is sensed rather than described. Delicate touches of gold leaf act as moments of attention and care, illuminating fragments that remain held within us. The series invites a slower encounter with tenderness, intimacy, and emotional remembrance.
